YoungArts MasterClass Nominated for Emmy Award

HBO’s YoungArts MasterClass, produced by Simon & Goodman, recently received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Children’s Program. This is the second Primetime Emmy nomination for YoungArts MasterClass as the show received another for its first season in 2011. The current nomination was for the second season of the acclaimed show, which captures master teachers working with aspiring talents in a variety of creative fields. The first season of the YoungArts MasterClass series featured master teachers such as opera singer Placido Domingo, architect Frank Gehry and dancer Bill T. Jones. The series serve as the inspiration for the study guide, Pursuing Your Passions, which is meant to motivate educators to embrace the arts in their classroom. Following the success of the first season, a new set of episodes featuring master teachers such as singer Bobby McFerrin, playwright John Gaure and singer/actress Patti LuPone started airing on HBO in the spring of this year.
